It was about a week after I started a meditation course. I remember immediately reaching out to my mentor and telling her what was happening. And guess what?
She congratulated me and told me it was an advantage to feel floating during meditation.

It feels like you’re swaying a few inches above the ground or like you’re about to take off at any second. It’s such an overwhelming feeling that it can scare you if you don’t know what it means.
And guess what?
Floating feelings during meditation can be a sign that your body and mind are ready to let go of all negative thoughts and emotions.
If you experience a floating feeling during meditation, chances are that your mind is becoming quiet and still.
You may have reached a heightened state of relaxation and awareness, where all your thoughts have evaporated, and all that remains is a deep sense of peace and tranquility.
But why do we feel this way? Why floating?

Now you probably wonder what I mean by self-realization exactly.
Well, when you experience a floating feeling during meditation, you’re becoming aware of your true self.
What does that mean?
Your mind is becoming quiet and still, and you can see who you really are. It’s like when the water in the pool is still, then you can see the bottom of it.
When your mind is still, then you can see who you really are; all your thoughts, emotions, personality traits, and beliefs are visible to you.
You start to understand yourself better and become aware of your true nature. This is self-realization. It’s also called self-discovery or self-awareness.
So in order to become aware of who we truly are, we must first accept ourselves for who we are right now.
We must accept our thoughts and emotions without judging them as good or bad because they’re just an expression of our true nature.
We must learn to love ourselves unconditionally so we can connect with our higher self (our divine essence) more easily.
And this process starts with awareness.
The floating feeling during meditation helps us become more aware of ourselves by showing us what’s really inside us: all our fears, doubts, worries, hopes, and desires.
But guess what?

It’s the feeling you get when you’re in touch with your true self and feel all-powerful, peaceful, and blissful.

This is the final destination of all meditators who practice regularly and are on their way to becoming enlightened.
What does it mean?
It means you’re becoming aware of who you really are and what your true nature is.
The reason why people experience this floating feeling during meditation is that they meditate regularly.
And that’s also why I felt, for the first time after some time of practicing meditation, a sense of calm.
From my experience, it might take a few weeks, but it will indeed help you to achieve the highest state of awareness.
So if you want to experience the same thing, then keep practicing meditation consistently until one day you reach the highest level of awareness possible: enlightenment or Nirvana.
And remember: when your mind is at peace, it means that you’ve reached enlightenment or nirvana – the highest level of awareness where everything exists as one: no good, no bad, no right, no wrong…

Want to know what was the first reaction of my mentor when I first told her that I was afraid of this strange feeling of floating during meditation?

And this is exactly what happens during meditation.
Your body starts to relax, and you feel like you’re floating in the air.
This is why people who meditate regularly experience this feeling: because their body is relaxing and they feel great afterward.
If you want to achieve similar feelings, then start meditating regularly until your mind is at peace and your body feels relaxed and calm.
If you’ve been experiencing the floating feeling for just a few seconds or even a couple of minutes after you sit down for meditation, it could mean that you’re completely relaxed.
And you know what?
Relaxation is one of the most important conditions for meditation.
As studies prove, during the practice of medication, our muscles naturally relax and, as a result,

You might be thinking: But how can I disconnect from my senses if I’m trying to focus on my breathing or a mantra?
The answer is simple: You don’t need to disconnect from your senses in order to meditate effectively.
In fact, if your practice is effective enough, it will naturally lead you to a state of meditation where you will feel relaxed, calm, and present.

The alpha state is a natural state of relaxation that most people experience during the day.
It’s a part of the process of falling asleep, but it can also happen while you are awake.
You can experience an alpha state while meditating if you’re relaxed enough to enter a meditative state.
If you feel as though you’re floating while meditating and your mind is clear and focused, it’s a sign that you’ve entered the alpha state.

You’re entirely focused on your breath and the feeling of now. You’re also in a state of complete relaxation, and you feel as though you’re floating.
The fact of the matter is that discursive thinking is the chatter in your head that usually keeps you from meditating.
It’s what causes distractions and keeps you from focusing on your breath or whatever other objects you choose to focus on.
For example, if you’re trying to meditate but can’t stop thinking about a problem at work, it means that discursive thinking has kicked in and your mind is no longer peaceful and calm enough for meditation.
When this happens, it’s a sign that your mind isn’t ready for meditation yet—it needs more time to settle down so it can achieve inner peace and quietness.
So, if you’ve experienced floating feelings during meditation, you can consider it as a sign that you’ve managed to stop discursive thinking and enter the meditative mind.
8) You’re at the peak of your happiness range
Believe it or not, a floating feeling during meditation is a sign that you’re at the peak of your happiness range.
But if you’re like me and felt a bit scared the first time you’ve experienced floating, you might naturally wonder, how can it be the peak of your happiness range if it makes you feel so uncertain?
The thing is that the peak of your happiness range is a state in which you’re so happy that you don’t even know it.
It’s a state of being in which you feel so good and relaxed, that you simply can’t even think about anything else but how incredibly happy and relaxed you are.
And this is exactly what happens to people who experience floating feelings during meditation.
They feel so good, they simply can’t help but smile and enjoy the moment.
They don’t know what’s causing them to feel this way, but they like it, and they want more of it, which is why they keep meditating.
That said, if the floating feeling during meditation makes you feel extremely blissful, relaxed, and happy—it means that your body has entered the peak of its happiness range.
You’ve experienced a pure state of joy and blissfulness, which is extremely rare.
Most people don’t experience the peak of their happiness range while meditating because they don’t have the right mindset and they don’t have the right conditions for meditation. I
If you want to experience a state of pure joy and blissfulness, you have to relax completely, clear your mind completely, and focus completely on your breath.
And that’s very, very difficult for most people.
But one thing is for sure: if you feel as though you’re floating during meditation, it means that your body and mind are in perfect harmony.
It’s a sign that your life is going well, and everything is right with the world.
